The Bella Vida Center located in Chico is a ten-bed facility for patients who experience serious psychotic episodes or intense emotional distress.
The building stems from Compassion Pathway Behavioral Health LLC which has provided mental health programs in counties such as Butte, Sacramento, Placer, and El Dorado.
The center is a voluntary center in which patients 18 years and older could stay for up to 30 days.
The crisis residential treatment offers a home-like setting for adults experiencing serious psychotic episodes or intense emotional distress who might otherwise face hospitalization and/or incarceration.
Services expected to be provided include assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. The staff of psychiatrists, licensed therapists, psychiatric technicians, nurses, counselors, mental health workers and support staff are expected to have focus areas include mental health assessment, psychiatric assessment and evaluation for medication, medication monitoring, limited individual counseling and group counseling.
Other recovery aspects for patients will include the learning of basic living skills, social and interpersonal skills, and the coping skills necessary to successfully transition back into living independently.
